Career Development

Here at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, we believe strongly in the phrase “More Than Just Movers”. This isn’t just a job; it’s a place to advance your career and grow, both personally and professionally. Moving our customers is important, but it’s equally as important to help move our talented team members forward, too.

This is why we work hard to offer a variety of opportunities for career advancement across our brand. Whether you’re a mover, driver, customer service representative, franchise manager – or even a TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Michigan Support Center member – there are ways for you to learn and grow around every corner.

CAREER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS

Throughout the franchise network specifically, you’ll find numerous franchise owners who started off as movers before working their way up to become business owners. With programs like the Mary Ellen Moving People Forward Scholarship, the Frontline Foundation Program, and the Managers Moving Forward Program, as well as educational courses through the brand’s internal educational platform, Stickmen University®, there’s no shortage of opportunities to improve your skills and advance your career.

Personal and professional growth is continually promoted at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, which is exactly what the Managers Moving Forward program is intended for. Managers are trained on how to become more confident and build their skills professionally, resulting in a larger impact on their locations and overall success at their franchise.

Participants work on building their leadership and management skills through numerous case studies and exercises, with the goal of preparing them to run the day-to-day operations of a TWO MEN AND A TRUCK franchise. At the conclusion of this program, the participants will hopefully feel more confident in decision-making and being a leader at their franchise.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK strongly believes in promoting from within, and the Mary Ellen’s Moving People Scholarship does exactly that. Through this six-month program, participants work diligently by attending webinars, completing assignments, building out and presenting business plans to TWO MEN AND A TRUCK leadership, and much more.

As participants progress through the program, they gain points toward an overall score while learning valuable information about business ownership and running a TWO MEN AND A TRUCK franchise. At the conclusion of the program, the candidate with the highest points total is awarded a TWO MEN AND A TRUCK franchise of their own, helping them achieve their dream of business ownership.

Training includes multiple courses through Stickmen University to help them learn everything they need to know about managing a franchise and leading a team.
