TWO MEN AND A TRUCK moving teams prepare for the brand’s “Busiest Move Weekend”

Summer is the busy moving season for TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, and this all comes together for one big showcase during the last weekend of June, which is what we call our “Busiest Move Weekend”!

Simply put, this is the weekend each year when we have the most moves on the schedule, and it’s a time to shine for frontline team members everywhere. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK franchises all over the country have been working hard through the spring months – like with our Career Move Season initiative – to make sure their moving teams are properly staffed to meet the needs of our customers.

“During our Busiest Move Weekend and every day, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK moving teams across the country are focused on providing top-notch customer service and being a reliable resource and friendly face as customers gear up to move and take on a new journey,” said TWO MEN AND A TRUCK President Randy Shacka.

It’s pretty obvious how crucial frontline team members like movers, drivers, customer service representatives, and other staff are, but just look at just how important they are to the success of this weekend.

Here are a few numbers putting it into context:

4,977 moves scheduled
6,043 movers and drivers needed to complete these moves
15,389,458 pounds of belongings planned to be moved for our customers
721,870 miles of driving planned for our trucks

With astronomical numbers like this, we needed an abundance of quality moving team members at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK franchises to get the job done!

I saw some of the focus areas were weaknesses of mine, and I figured it would be beneficial to address those. The experience has been awesome, and all of the content has led to processes I can implement at my franchise to make it better. If you aren’t growing, you’re dying, and I’d prefer the former over the latter!

The thing that attracted me most to the job was just the team environment, I’ve grown up playing sports my whole life, so when I got there and met everyone, I saw the way they treated the guys, how all the guys were team-based like family, and that was just something that really attracted me and kept me here.
